Reverse osmosis

Reverse osmosis, nanofiltration

Purpose
Arionex RO unit is designed for desalination of sea water or removing salts from brakish water. The unit operation is based on reverse osmosis or nanofiltration principles.

Reverse osmosis

Spiral wound elements of reverse osmosis are used. System is intended to reduce/eliminate the salts from the water. The pressurized water is applied to the semipermeable membrane, which allows water molecules to pass membrane and reject more concentrated stream containing salts.

Nanofiltration

Spiral wound elements of nanofiltration are used. System is intended to reduce water hardness, sulfates, organics (color) and radionuclides. As a result there are two streams obtained during process – water with low hardness, sulfates, organics as purified water and reject water stream with higher concentration of these species.
